This page of the blog is dedicated to each and every person out there that has not made a big name for themselves yet musically but are putting in a big effort to do so. If you have been added to this list it was and is out of respect for you and your efforts. Not everything in this list is necessarily something you might find in my personal playlist but I feel it is important to shine on a light on those that you don't know about. You don't have to have a big name to make good music.

1/30/2019  I saw this next snippet yesterday and knew I wanted to share this one. After exploring @addimyers_mpe_ Instagram I have to say that he seems like a very positive person and his cooking looks really fucking good too.

1/30/2019 I have to be honest and say that I am really excited to share this particular bit from this particular artist who I just discovered about 48 hours ago. He shot a video with HalfpintFilmz which is an outfit I keep my eye on and check for daily. When I heard the beat and his vocal performance over I have to say I was caught off guard. He hit me upside the head with a banger! This artist has me rearranging my current favorite top five in the Dallas area. What will follow are a few snippets from his IG that are noteworthy and then I'll post the actual music video that made me say realize I need to keep an eye on this artist. Fyi if are an up and coming artist you may want to consider doing business with HalfpintFilmz. I've followed the output online since 2016 and it has constantly improved. Check out the views on the YouTube account. The proof is in the pudding as they say.

And this is the full length HalfpintFilmz video that everyone needs to listen to and share. Shout out to Str3tch, I like the way you deliver your bars. Whew (Rick Flair voice)!
1/30/2019 So there I was going through the hashtags looking for stuff to roast on for my 'Wack Wednesday Wrap Up' and I came across this cutie with a great voice. Thus my mission to roast rappers had to be postponed for a few because sharing this was more important. One of the coolest things about social media is stumbling across new songs you like. Some of you up and coming rappers may want to think about working with this young lady.

I think this one is my favorite of her so far.

1/30/2019 When you check the comments you often find things you would have otherwise missed which is how I found this catchy little ditty here. To be specific I saw this kid in the comments while I was checking out the music of Lillian Harkless. I always advise people to check the comments.
Here's the whole song and I'm loving it. Very catchy and it's easy to see where this cat could go with this song.

TSS Presents 'The Best Liquid of 2018'

Friday Freestyle Report 04 Bars and Blunts

The cats over at 'Bars On I-95' have come through two weeks in a row with exceptional female talent. Ms. Hustle runs with the baton Lady Luck passed off last week as A.B. and Cease continue curating what will one day be a legendary list of freestyle performances. Ms.Hustle is hard and brings to the table an aggressiveness that is not present in a lot of male emcees. Ms Hustle is right at home on the home of the heavy spitters. I would have liked to hear a little bit more from her.   'Bars On I-95'...Thank you for this one. This one impressed with instant classic status. Other female emcees would be wise to take a lot of notes here. Any emcee in general could learn something here. Now I'm wondering if the rest of that Fred The Godson will be better than this. I don't think it will be. This is Lady London spitting all bars and no bullshit on 'Bars On I-95' home of the heavy talkers and she fit right in. I didn't know Lady London would be t...

So you want to be a Dj?

Even today in 2018 it still seems like everyone wants to be a dj. Some truly want to study the craft and become part of the culture while a large portion of these alleged knowledge seekers are infatuated with money, fame and potential affection from women with poor judgement in men and bad taste in music. But for those who truly seek the path to higher levels of turntable enlightenment Rob Swift and his Brolic Army are here for you.     In 2014 Swift began teaching a course called 'Dj Skills & Styles' as a professor at the New School for Liberal Arts in New York City. During the course students use turntables and vinyl to learn the fundamentals of mixing, scratching and beat juggling. With only twelve student per class each semester you are damn near getting one on one time with one of the most respected and experienced turntablist on the planet. If you are like me and desire to battle then this right here might be exactly what you are look...
