American Grime


What's harder than making it in drum n bass in the states? Try making it in Grime in the same location. Yet through hard work and dedication Mc Jumanji and his American Grime posse are making their way whilst earning their respect. What were once idols and inspirations are now becoming peers. I enjoyed this session and interview from Kiss FM during their recent UK radio tour. Afterwards enjoy the session between American Grime and Flowdan.

Friday Freestyle Report 02 'Bars and Battles'

      This one is an action packed Friday Freestyle Report as we pull up on session two. Which you will have noticed kicked off with light bars from DNA doing the '5 Fingers of Death' followed by an older performance with Kay Slay.                      DNA spits first at the top of the first round and I'm wondering how the fuck is Tay Roc going to follow that shit up? And at that point Tay Roc starts fucking him up for three rounds straight. This one is a fun one to watch. Tay Roc goes up against a goliath like DNA and makes him look helpless. Also worth mentioning is the obvious effort put into the overall production at the time of its filming. Friday Freestyle Report 04 Bars and Blunts

       The cats over at 'Bars On I-95' have come through two weeks in a row with exceptional female talent. Ms. Hustle runs with the baton Lady Luck passed off last week as A.B. and Cease continue curating what will one day be a legendary list of freestyle performances. Ms.Hustle is hard and brings to the table an aggressiveness that is not present in a lot of male emcees. Ms Hustle is right at home on the home of the heavy spitters. I would have liked to hear a little bit more from her.   'Bars On I-95'...Thank you for this one. This one impressed with instant classic status. Other female emcees would be wise to take a lot of notes here. Any emcee in general could learn something here. Now I'm wondering if the rest of that Fred The Godson will be better than this.
