Friday Freestyle Report 04 Bars and Blunts

The cats over at 'Bars On I-95' have come through two weeks in a row with exceptional female talent. Ms. Hustle runs with the baton Lady Luck passed off last week as A.B. and Cease continue curating what will one day be a legendary list of freestyle performances. Ms.Hustle is hard and brings to the table an aggressiveness that is not present in a lot of male emcees. Ms Hustle is right at home on the home of the heavy spitters. I would have liked to hear a little bit more from her.

'Bars On I-95'...Thank you for this one. This one impressed with instant classic status. Other female emcees would be wise to take a lot of notes here. Any emcee in general could learn something here. Now I'm wondering if the rest of that Fred The Godson will be better than this. I don't think it will be. This is Lady London spitting all bars and no bullshit on 'Bars On I-95' home of the heavy talkers and she fit right in. I didn't know Lady London would be this good but she has the bars, timing, swagger, word choice, and more of a real serious threat in a freestyle session. I wouldn't mind seeing her do a verse for verse with Goodz or Millyz. Speaking of Millyz I would really like for the people to see Millyz on the platform. And more Lady London. With another one in the books, 'Bars On I-95' continues to curate a line up of advanced level hip hop lyricist.

Jae Millz. Heavy bar talk, but this time with Flex. If you've been keeping up this is a response to the K Shine freestyle that came before this one. That one was a couple of days after K Shine defeated Millz in a battle. This is freestyle #114 while the K Shine freestyle was #113. You can see the K Shine freestyle in last weeks report. Millz has an impressive flow with no flaws that should be respected and studied.

Flash back a few years and we have this hot shit from Goodz, DNA, and Charlie Clips over the J. Cole 'Fire Squad' beat. It's few years old but its never to late to discover a new personal classic or revisit an old favorite.

On the drum n bass side Eksman and Evil B show you how to emcee drum n bass as part of the Problem Central takeover. Eksman displays exceptional bar spitting capability that is not rivaled by many out there. Evil B spits bars with guys like Eksman  so that should give you an indication of what he is bringing to the drum n bass table.

Off the top bars from Mistah F.A.B. over the '5 Fingers of Death' challenge with Sway. In a nutshell he just keeps on rapping with Sway randomly feeding him different topics to rhyme about.

And while rolling the next blunt I took time to check out this freestyle from Wasionkey on 'Bars On I-95'. Connecticut stand up. Aside from some serious top rank spitters like this man and Man U Ill you guys have A.B. and Cease putting on for Connecticut and the freestyle game in general. Hats off to these cats for doing what they are doing. If you've got some serious bars you need to reach out to these guys.

TSS Presents 'The Thing About Pre Rolls'

I don't roll joints and it's not often that I smoke one either however I am a big fan of the pre rolled joints that you can get in any of your local dispensaries. Typically the pre rolls are a full gram and are usually priced between five and eight dollars. The trick to pre rolls is not to light them. Instead open the tip and pour some in your bowl and you will find that you have several small sessions worth of weed left to get you through the day. The usual low price of pre rolled joints also allows you to sample multiple strains of cannabis without putting too much pressure on your pockets. If you are in the Denver area I recommend taking a look at  https://www.cannasaver.com/  to find great deals and coupons on pre rolls and other cannabis related products. The third photo illustrates how much of this joint is left after smoking two bowls (possibly three but I don't remember). For the record this particular joint was a 1.5 gram Super Alien (hybrid)  Kaviar  h

TSS Presents 'Friday Freestyle Report #07'

If you are looking for a way to fast track getting your rap name known outside your city here are two platforms that are not charging artist to come on and spit. The expectation is that you're not going to show up and do some bullshit. This is for elite level emcees. As a viewer who hates the wait between videos I don't want one to come out and it's a disappointment because you suck at rap. The first video is a conversation between one of the host of 'Bars On I-95' and the hostbc of the 'No Ghost Writer' platform. Reach out to these guys and make get deeper into the culture. You help keep this alive in the proper form when you participate. You can't buy this type of respect but you can earn it and here are two places you can start.    Popperazzi Po gives a lesson.
