Friday Freestyle Report 02 'Bars and Battles'

This one is an action packed Friday Freestyle Report as we pull up on session two. Which you will have noticed kicked off with light bars from DNA doing the '5 Fingers of Death' followed by an older performance with Kay Slay.

DNA spits first at the top of the first round and I'm wondering how the fuck is Tay Roc going to follow that shit up? And at that point Tay Roc starts fucking him up for three rounds straight. This one is a fun one to watch. Tay Roc goes up against a goliath like DNA and makes him look helpless. Also worth mentioning is the obvious effort put into the overall production at the time of its filming. I'd like to see that exact same visual format come back around.

This next battle between Danja Zone and R Streetz is another good one. Come for the battle, stay for the 'spontaneous' roasting session they threw in for free.

And I'm absolutely not going to leave you without some 'Bars On I-95' to get you through. They're running the best platform for quality bar heavy freestyles. They got the 'The Hoodies' on the show and which shows taste and a developed ear. Its been a week since their last post so I'm anxiously waiting for the next session to drop. You should definitely subscribe to their YouTube account.

Charlie Clips delivers a proper Harlem battle style that is heavy with gun bars and punchlines on his latest visit to Funk Flex. His previous appearance on Hot 97 has over 2.5 million views. DNA accompanies Clips to the session which has me anticipating a new DNA freestyle forthcoming from the platform soon.  URL battle rap legend and gun bar king Tay Roc touches down on the 'No Ghostwriter' freestyle with creative, aggressive bars that paint a grimey drug related story for those on the inside looking out. Big L is regarded as one of the greatest to ever rap and is often considered by many to be the very best to ever do it. Together he and Jay Z recorded the '7 Minute Freestyle' on the Stretch & Bobbito show. The following is an extended version featuring commentary from Big L and Jay Z that is not found on the seven minute version. This is Jay Z in his prime in tandem with arguably the best emcee to ever exist. Stretch and Bobbito shows are arch...
